Isaac Andrade, violoncelo
First cello of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Brazilian Isaac Andrade has won several competitions, including the Eleazar de Carvalho music competition in 2010 and TV Cultura's Prelúdio in 2013, where he won first prize on both occasions.
He also won third prize at the Heitor Villa-Lobos International Cello Competition in 2013. In 2015 he received a special concert prize at the Campos de Jordão winter festival.
He received important musical inspiration from Marcio Caneiro, Antonio Meneses, Daniel Müller-Schott, Onczay Csaba, Jeffrey Lastrapes, Arthur Hornig, Marc Koppey, Fabio Presgrave, Dmitry Eremin, Kim Bak Dinitzen and Angelos Liakakis.
A special chamber music experience for him was playing the Brahms Sextet together with the Brodsky Quartet. He has also given concerts in Greece, Canada, France and Russia, among others.
In October 2017, Isaac was appointed assistant to Matias de Oliveira Pinto at the Münster University of Music at the Westphalian Wilhelms University. Isaac Andrade has been a fellow at the State Foundation Villa-Musica Renânia-Palatinate since 2019/20.
